Legislative Center CWV members and friends are urged to use the online resources of the Library of Congress's THOMAS system to help keep themselves informed about all pending legislation: As a general rule, the CWV does not support any legislation that removes or lessens any social welfare benefits for U.S. military veterans and their families, or that results, or may result in similar effects... Further, the CWV does not support any legislation that weakens, or seeks to eliminate any of the rights and privileges guaranteed to all citizens as enumerated within our nation's core foundational documents such as the U.S. Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence... Further, the CWV is an ardent supporter of our nation's Democratic-Republic form of government and the individual citizen's rights to due process and civic participation. The CWV does not support any legislation that enacts, or has the effect of supporting, the practices of Socialism, Communism, Fascism, Totalitarianism, Terrorism, Defeatism, Secular Humanism, Fatalism, or any other form of ideology that is in opposition to historic Americanism. We ENDORSE the FY 2010 funding recommendations of the Friends of VA Medical Care and Health Research coalition (FOVA).
