"Finally, draw strength from the Lord and from His mighty power.
Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:10, & 13-17

These words of St. Paul epitomize for us in clear terms how to act as soldiers for Christ. As Catholic military veterans of our country we are called upon to participate within the greater Church and to fully participate in our culture as "Faithful Citizens". While exercising and further defending those civil rights guaranteed to us by the service and sacrifices of our brother and sister veterans, we also heed the call of our Lord Jesus to evangelize others and stand fast against the forces of darkness within our own country and the world. As all good soldiers, sailors, and airmen know, to be effective when called upon, we must first prepare ourselves accordingly. Whether you're a CWV member here at home, or you're currently serving actively in our military, we offer these links to authentic Catholic resources for you and your family's edification and spiritual growth.
